Security & Platform Integrity Policy

1.2.By accessing or using LegalSeek, users and legal professionals agree to comply with this Policy and to act in a manner that preserves the security and integrity of the platform.

1.3.This Policy should be read in conjunction with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Security Policy, and other applicable LegalSeek policies

2.1.LegalSeek implements appropriate technical and organizational measures, aligned with industry standards and a risk-based approach, to protect the platform against unauthorized access, data breaches, and misuse.

2.2.These measures may include system monitoring, access controls, encryption practices, secure authentication mechanisms, and regular system maintenance.

2.3.While LegalSeek implements robust security practices, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users acknowledge the inherent risks associated with digital platforms.

 

  1. User Responsibilities

3.1.Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for ensuring that their access to the platform is secure.

3.2.Users must not share their login credentials, attempt unauthorized access, or engage in any activity that may compromise platform security.

3.3.Any suspected unauthorized access or security concern must be reported to LegalSeek promptly through designated support or security reporting channels.

 

  1. Prohibited Security Activities

4.1.Users must not engage in activities that compromise or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the platform.

4.2.This includes, but is not limited to, hacking attempts, unauthorized system access, exploitation of vulnerabilities, distribution of malicious software, denial-of-service attacks, or any attempt to bypass security controls.

4.3.Users must not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without explicit authorization.

 

  1. Platform Monitoring and Detection

5.1.LegalSeek may monitor platform activity, system usage, and technical operations to detect suspicious behavior, security threats, or policy violations, based on legitimate interest in maintaining platform security and integrity.

5.2.Monitoring is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and with the objective of maintaining platform security and performance.

 

  1. Incident Response

6.1.In the event of a suspected or confirmed security incident, LegalSeek may take immediate action to protect the platform and its users.

6.2.Such actions may include restricting access, suspending accounts, isolating systems, or implementing emergency security measures.

6.3.LegalSeek may notify affected users where required by applicable law.

6.4.Where required by applicable law, LegalSeek will notify relevant authorities and affected users of data breaches within legally mandated timeframes.

 

  1. Data Protection and Integrity

7.1.LegalSeek takes reasonable steps to ensure that data stored and processed on the platform is protected against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

7.2.Users are encouraged to maintain backups of their critical data. LegalSeek may implement internal backup and recovery procedures but does not guarantee data restoration in all cases.

7.3.Data handling practices are governed by the LegalSeek Privacy & Data Protection Policy.

9.3.Users must not misuse AI functionalities, including excessive automated queries, prompt manipulation, or attempts to extract system-level data or responses beyond intended usage.

9.4.LegalSeek implements safeguards to prevent misuse of AI systems, including monitoring abnormal usage patterns and enforcing usage limits where necessary.

 

  1. Reporting Security Issues

10.1.Users and legal professionals are encouraged to report any suspected vulnerabilities, security weaknesses, or incidents to LegalSeek.

10.2.LegalSeek may review such reports and take appropriate action. Responsible disclosure of vulnerabilities is encouraged and appreciated.

10.3.Reports may be submitted through designated support or security reporting channels provided by LegalSeek.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability

11.1.LegalSeek provides the platform on a best-effort basis and does not guarantee that the platform will be free from security vulnerabilities, interruptions, or unauthorized access.

11.2.To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LegalSeek shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from security incidents, data breaches, or system failures beyond its reasonable control.
